Mr. Bigelow was a kind and gentle old man who lived in a cozy cottage in the countryside. He had a beautiful garden, a comfy armchair, and a mischievous cat named Mittens.

Mr. Bigelow realized that the man was the thief who had stolen his cheese. He confronted the man, and the two of them got into a fight.

Mr. Bigelow was no match for the strong thief, and he was quickly overpowered. The thief tied Mr. Bigelow up and put him in a sack.

Mittens watched in horror as the thief carried Mr. Bigelow away.

Mittens knew that she had to do something to save Mr. Bigelow. She followed the thief and saw him take Mr. Bigelow to a cave in the woods.

Mittens waited until the thief was gone and then she went into the cave. She found Mr. Bigelow tied up and gagged.

Mittens carefully untied Mr. Bigelow and helped him to escape from the cave.

Mr. Bigelow and Mittens went back to the cottage and called the police. The police arrested the thief and returned Mr. Bigelow's cheese.

Mr. Bigelow was so grateful to Mittens for saving his life. He gave her a big hug and a saucer of milk.

Mittens was a hero. She had solved the mystery of the missing cheese and saved Mr. Bigelow from the clutches of a dangerous thief.

From that day on, Mr. Bigelow and Mittens were the best of friends. They solved many more mysteries together, and they always had each other's backs.
