MBK is based on the belief that all young people deserve a fair chance to succeed, regardless of their race or background. The initiative brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government agencies, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations, to work together to create more opportunities for boys and young men of color.

MBK has already made a significant impact in communities across the country. For example, the initiative has helped to:

  • Increase the number of mentors available to boys and young men of color
  • Improve academic outcomes for boys and young men of color
  • Reduce the number of boys and young men of color who are arrested and incarcerated
  • Increase the number of boys and young men of color who graduate from college and enter the workforce

MBK is a critical investment in the future of our nation. By investing in boys and young men of color, we are investing in all of our communities. We are creating a more just and equitable society for everyone.
